Currently there are over 400 extraordinary young people involved in Lake Valley Camp Programs, ages ranging from 7-17.  

Youth are recommended for showing excellence in the classroom and a drive to succeed.  They also must qualify for the free or reduced lunch program to be considered.  Once campers are accepted they are able to return year after year, as long as they continue to make positive choices at camp, home, school, and in their communities. 

Our participants come from very diverse backgrounds:
 
•45% African American
 •90% of participants live in the city of Milwaukee
•45% Latino •10% live in rural Western WI
•10% Caucasian, Asian or Other








This mix of diversity assists in creating an environment where campers are able to step outside their comfort zone and broaden their horizons by trying new things and meeting new people in a challenging yet supportive environment.
