Adventure Trips

Program Overview

The adventure trip experience is offered on various weekends during the school year to Voyager participants. Groups have the opportunity to experience a wide range of immersive outdoor activities; participants register based on interest. 

Favorite Moment: This program is a new offering starting in Fall 2017. That being said, there will be many favorite moments to come!

Who: 6th - 8th grade students that have an interest in Adventure and Exploring the different offerings of nature as well as a desire to participate in more programming at Lake Valley Camp!

What: Adventure Trips are adventure/experiential based programs for groups of 10-18 Voyagers that offers expedition-type programming during the School-Year. Having shorter trips more often allows participants to have a variety of experiences and be able to register based on their personal interests. Some trip themes planned for 2017-18 are Rock Climbing, High Ropes, Teambuilding, Caving, Canoeing, Snowshoeing, and Camping.

When: Fall 2017 Trips: Adventure Trip I: Devil's Lake Rock Climbing September 29th-October 1st. Adventure Trip II: Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership Low/High Ropes Course in Lake Geneva October 13th-15th.

Why: As an organization we focus on the depth of our students and their individual needs.  Providing Adventure Programming year-round fills the gap of engagement for those learners who thrive in the summer months as well as providing more varieties of programming that interests and engages more participants.
