Director of Administration
I get to be the Director of Administration - working closely with Rodney, Nydia, and Kathy and on the Directors Team with Dan, Adam, and Demetria. I spend a lot of my time working on the “inside” of LVC - things like how we develop and retain our staff and how we use funds for the greatest impact. I love aiming for constant improvement of our processes and focusing forward on achieving our goals. At least once a day I ask myself - “What would be best for LVC families?”

What you like to do in your free time: listen to podcasts, doodle/craft/create, tell my dogs they’re the best, laugh with my husband, connect with friends and family spread across the country, cook, build the Service Year Alliance in Milwaukee, find new things to learn
How did you get started working with non-profits?
In high school I was focused on community service through most of my extracurriculars. Through DECA, I got to lead on a statewide fundraising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and raised $55,000...I then started going to MDA Camp every summer as a counselor, and after college I served in AmeriCorps in Providence, RI. I’ve been with non-profits ever since!
I am very lucky that Lake Valley Camp was looking for someone like me at the same time I was looking for a new adventure! It’s pretty close to my dream job - working in a non-profit that works with awesome kids and families, in a camp environment, in Milwaukee, on work that challenges me every day. I’ve known Rebecca Heaton-Juarez (Brett’s wife) since high school, so Brett’s connection and persuasion was a big factor in my decision to join the team.
