Hometown: Milwaukee, WI
Inspirations: My family, My two children, My fiance, empowering women in my life and the youth I serve.
What you like to do in your free time: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, writing, photography, doing arts and crafts with my daughter and binge watching episodes on Sundays with my fiance. I love to travel as much as possible and go on new adventures.
How did you get started working with non-profits? My first connection with Non-Profits was when I was a sophomore in College. I was a part of a scholarship program called the Caroline Scholars and part of the requirement was to complete 350 hours of service within a school year. I always had a passion for taking my life experiences and advocating for a change to help others. The first NP i became actively involved with was 9 to 5 National Association for Working Women. While working with them I began to network and discover other non-profits and found a calling in youth work.
With LVC? I have been employed with Girl Scouts for 4 ½ years and had no more opportunity for growth on a program level. I have always had a passion for empowering our youth to discover their fullest potential and leadership skills and had an interest in working with teens. When I came across the position for LTPM at LVC I felt like not only did the position describe exactly what my vision for my next move looked like, but also LVC’s mission and vision coincided with mine.
