HR & Accounting Coordinator
My role at LVC is to support the team with accounting or clerical needs. This takes on everything from paying bills to answering phones. I came to LVC with a desire to add to my years of non-profit experience and to grow as a person--and I’ve been able to do just that! I am also the parent of a LVC camper and have enjoyed seeing my daughter develop as a result of her camp experience. LVC is a great organization to be a part of and I’m happy to be a member of the team.
While I’m not a Wisconsin native, I have lived in Milwaukee for 17 years. I am also married and we have two beautiful girls.
Hometown: Baltimore, MD
Inspirations: The legacy of my parents, my children and my faith
What you like to do in your free time: Away from LVC I like to cook, read, travel and most especially like to D.I.Y (I collect power tools and build stuff)
How did you get started working with non-profits? I’ve had a connection with faith-based (aka non-profits) for as long as I can remember. I started volunteering and then as time went along, I worked in a small capacity for organizations answering phones, collecting donations and working with people. Before coming onboard with LVC, I was the finance administrator for a local church--this was my full immersion into the non-profit world and it gave me a lot of great tools for what I do at LVC.
I have a daughter who comes to camp so when I saw the ad for an administrative opening last summer, I knew the organization long before the interview. Fortunately for me, the interview went well and here I am!
